Dovetail closes pre-seed funding at $700,000, launches early adopters
Dovetail announced it successfully closed pre-seed funding at $700,000 from multiple investors, led by Lake County Technologies, Inc (LCT). LCT has been an investor and pioneer in automation for many years and considers Dovetail to be the future of design automation. Dovetail is a Saas startup developing interior specification software for interior designers and contractors.
Dovetail simplifies the interior finish specification process for both residential interior designers and contractors. The platform reduces project management time and ultimately results in less errors for both parties.
Dovetail offers the ability for users to curate his/her own finish library, utilize the smart product and project fields that are unique and relevant to each specific use case, and export PDF project specs by trade, room, vendor, etc. The Dovetail feature set is unlike any competing software currently on the market.
Dana Lynch Design, an Atlanta-based interior design firm focused on turn-key interior design solutions for contractors, developed Dovetail. The Dana Lynch Design team has used the application to design over 800 homes.
Dovetail co-founder and CEO, Dana Lynch, said “Dovetail was originally created for my internal team to create a more efficient home specification process. When we saw how it radically changed our business and how excited other designers got when we talked about it, we knew we needed to take it to market.”
Early adopters are now using Dovetail and the company anticipates offering Studio level plans starting in late Summer 2022.
