Age Tech Atlanta Announces Age Tech Challenge Innovation Showcase Featuring Early-Stage Companies Serving Senior Market

Now accepting applications for participating companies through February 24; 10 finalists will pitch to an A-list VC panel for chance to win $10K plus additional in-kind benefits

Age Tech Atlanta today announced its inaugural Age Tech Challenge Innovation Showcase to be held March 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The organization is now accepting applications from early-stage companies that are building innovative solutions geared toward seniors. The competition is open to companies nationwide, although those selected must attend the event in Atlanta to pitch live.

Ten finalists will be given the opportunity to present to A-list venture capitalists and compete for a cash prize of $10,000 plus additional in-kind benefits. The Age Tech Challenge Innovation Showcase is being held in partnership with the American Society on Aging’s annual conference, On Aging 2023, taking place in Atlanta March 27-30.

Pitches will be judged by a panel of investors in the Age Tech space including:

Gray added that the $10,000 prize award is available thanks to Innovation Showcase sponsors Accushield, BrainLit North America, and Naborforce.

“Technology designed to meet the needs of older adults can change and improve the way we age, including providing greater independence,” said American Society on Aging CEO Peter Kaldes. “We look forward to the Age Tech Challenge Innovation Showcase that will kick off this year’s conference and introduce new innovations that are destined to positively impact all older adults.”

The Age Tech Challenge Innovation Showcase will include lunch, panel discussions, company presentations, and the prize announcement. Among the panelists:

Panel topics will include trends in the Age Tech space, healthcare system challenges, opportunities for success and disruption, the digital divide, and affordability.

Economic activity driven by the 50-plus population was worth $8.3 trillion in 2018, and is forecast to more than triple to $28.2 trillion by 2050. Age Tech Atlanta is the largest community in the United States focused on age tech, eldercare, and longevity.
